after a long-running competition, the Republic of Singapore Navy has chosen the S-70B Seahawk to operate off its new Delta/Formidable-class FFGs. it beat the AS532C Cougar MkII (less capable) and the NFH90(more expensive).
they will be based on SH-60R versions similar to those the Greek Navy obtained some years back, with APS-143(V)3 search radar, nose FLIR turret, winch, and ESSS pylons for Hellfires or external fuel tanks. most likely they will be flown by joint Air Force/Navy flight crews, with AF pilots and Navy sensor operators, as is Singaporean practice.
not sure at the moment whether there will be dipping sonar though.
