Single seat + single engines Grumman A-6 version !?!

In the latest “International Air Power Review” issue (No. 10) is a fine article regarding the Vought A-7 Corsair II in US Navy Service ….

On page 129 – regarding the development – is a short note that Grumman proposed a single seat version of the A-6 Intruder for the VAL-contest ?????

Does anyone have some more information or even a picture (model), painting, drawing, plan …. ???? I’m not sure but I think I remember one in the older Squadron book series A-7 in action !!??
