Ok, thanks Hooligan, sorry I haven’t replied sooner but this site has been closed every time I’ve tried to log in.

Daily Telegraph has an obituary today; it’s behind a paywall but I think you can register and read a few articles each week for free.

There wasn’t nothing in the papers that I saw or did I miss it. I would have thought that an obituary would have been in or at least some mention.

He sold MH434 at auction to a Ray Hanna-led consortium in 1983. ‘KIF is still owned by his company Airborne Taxi Services.

R.I.P Adrian……so I sorry I didn’t get your old Auster WE552/HKG-4 finished in time for you to see her fly again. Thank you for the encouragement, pilots notes, photo’s and great phone chats…. I will miss you.

He was very approachable and interesting to listen to with a great passion for all aviation matters and especially the Spitfire in addition to being part of the family firm that owns Cathay Pacific Airlines. The first President of the Spitfire Society from early days attending meetings and lectures whenever business did not get in the way.

Many of us will have fond memories of this gentleman and our thoughts now will be for his family and their loss.

A great shame. His association with MH434 has been for a great deal longer than most realise.
