Why didn’t O’Leary think of this first, or did he?

He probably did but isn’t he currently buying/leasing from the “Other” non European manufacturer ?

On the extreme heavies B-747 in particular although not in a pod on top the flight crew windscreen is as high as the upper deck pax.

Wonder what there is to be seen at 39,000 feet (Santa Claus, Supreme beings, UFOs :D) ?????

For O’Leary, it would have to span the entire top of the plane and standing passengers 😀
