I too think the speed has dropped by about 10% over the last 2 weeks, I am with IE, but always have been and still noticed the slowness to load pages, even between the sub sections of this forum. Not noticable on other forum I visit.

Keith.

It’s been acting slow me me also for 2 weeks or so, and i use Mozilla….to hell with any of that IE crap. Other forums that I frequent are fine, it seems to just be a problem with Keypub.

I’m not complaining, just saying that I’m having issues also, don’t shoot the messenger 😀

Is anyone else experience a ‘slow-ness’ with the forums loading? I have accessed it over the last couple of weeks from several different countries, on several different computers with several different specs and IE/Mozilla versions – and all have been rather slow.

Does it just need a bit of a clean out? Or is it just me? 🙂

Nope. In fact, when my PC is RamJam full of other S/w, this forum is the fastest loading internet connection.

Well, t least you are not one of these idiots who still choose to use IE6! 😡

LoL. Like my company. Now, I couldn’t do without the tabbed browsing.

I can’t see your settings, I don’t know which browser you are using and it’s too hot for clairvoyancy.

If it was a site problem, surely it would be affecting all users and we’d have been swamped with complaints by now?

Didn’t you upload a picture of yourself sitting in a Lancaster the other day?

Indeed.
IE7 (Because 8 is still poo).
Security set to medium (So macros work).
As I said, I only have the problem on this site. But it’s no great shake, it takes 15 seconds to log in again.

When I had a naff internet connection (Toucan) it would throw you out if you were inactive for a spell. “It” gives your bandwidth to a user that is sending / receiving/surfing at the time. Hence the £6.00 a month cheap fee. Could it be that for other users?
I’m with Orange BTW.

What should they be?

Don’t have the problem with other forums, even ones run by the Key Publishing network.

Yes, I complained some time ago about it. If I write a long post, and say I had a tea break during it….I then post it. It throws me to the login page….I duly log in. It then says it’s a duplicate of the one I posted less than 5 mins ago. Go figure.
