Sky-Bus – To be or not to be?

Hi,

Sky-Bus is an airline-to-be which claims that it will offer flights from London Luton Airport to Orlando Sanford with a Boeing 767-500.

It’s a project I have always followed closely, constantly checking the amateurish website for information about it’s launch. Such a convincing project that Airliner World picked up on it some months ago, featuring it in the news column in one issue.

The proposed startup date for Sky-Bus was supposed to be 1 July 2003. But you’ve probably not noticed a single Boeing 765 fly over your house recently. The company (if I can call it that?) says that due to the war on Iraq, startup has been delayed and that they are awaiting licencing. No clues have been given as to when they will be up and ready.

Does anybody know anything about Sky-Bus, whether or not it is a genuine project or not?

And for all your help, here’s the incredibly irritating and cheap ‘n’ nasty Sky-Bus logo that we all love so much. I’d say it’s worse than Air Scandic’s!

The number is just an answer machine and no one talks to tell u this is sky bus etc.

I applied for the Luton job but they say all jobs r taken.

Remember DONT take children on board. The Sun or News of World found it is owned by a registered Paedophile!

A while a go, my mum mentioned that one of her friend’s freinds had got a job as beauty therapist on this airline.

I havn’t heard anything else on this, but what kind of low-fare airline employes beauty therapists?

TV entertainment provided, audio on FM radio channel 98 MHz – Bring your radio. Bring your own radio LOL.
Cushions and blankets available in Departure Area – take them with you. Never heard of picking up blankets in the departure lounge.

What a wide range of destinations to. From Gatwick,Stansted and Luton Birmingham Edinburgh Glasgow and Manchester
To Sanford,Portsmouth NH,Tulsa, Fresno CA,New York Long Beach and Allentown and they plan to start flying to Fiji and Hawaii Australia and the West Coast in the future.
They have to be fake!

Yeah, that’s the reason I included that bit. The site says that flights will be on a 767-500… strange.

Think we found it was a false non-existant company shortly after it was announced. It will never happen its all bogus as far as I can remember from the time.
