A quick visit to the SkyDemon home page seems to indicate that at last, those of us who’ve been bitten in the past by Apple and are in no mood to be taken a second time, will have a choice of in-cockpit tablet navigation.
Screenshots show the program running on a variety of Android devices.
No news yet of when, but the second it’s confirmed I’ll be down the Nexus 7 shop shovelling across a (realistically small) pile of notes.
I have run SD on various Windows devices for three or four years now, there really is nothing better.

The features list is now available. Some notable omissions such as the ‘ILS’, but according to the company the platform will launch with a limited functionality and expand as it is proved to be stable.

It does look good, and hopefully works as reliably as possible. Time will tell, but it must be an improvement. I agree that not really any competition and/or anything better at this time, but I am sure someone will put me right on that if I am wrong.

Looks good from what I can see on the website.
