MYT have at least two A320s in Europe this summer, as they have done for a number of summers now – C-GDTK and C-GDTL have both been photographed by myself at EMA this summer, and it seems like C-FTDF may have been kicking around too. SSV also fly their A330 to PMI and other Spanish destinations quite regularly each summer, and have a JetStream 31 based in Europe to ferry the A330 crews around.

Actually, I have been on C-GTDL in the past when MYT were Airtours and one aircraft was based at MAN. Nice aircraft as well.

Airtours/Mytravel have leased-in 2-4 x A320s for the past 4-5 years. Their bases have changed this year(EMA normally MYT a/c). In the past they have also operated from MME/LBA bases. I’ve got photos of both a/c at Humberside.

They are, indeed, on summer lease to MyTravel and their presence in Europe has nothing to do with cruises.
In fact, C-FTDF an ex-Airtours machine (c/n 437, ex G-EPFR), while C-GTDL is c/n 476, ex EI-TLF of TransAer and D-AUKT of Fly FTI – another Airtours “associate”.

It might depend where aircraft are based. EMA is a MYT base where they have 1 Skyservice plane only for most of the time, Glasgow is another one. Also note that they are 2 different planes in the pictures, the other one is a Glasgow based 320.

if so why on a cruise day was there no other skyservice plane to get and give cruise passengers to their respected cruise ships and there was 15 mytravel planes there already.
