After seeing this tread I went to look up some information about the duxford Nimrod, and I only just now realise that there are 2 airworthy nimrods in duxford! 🙂

So with the demon and the hind that would indeed make for a very fine display in old warden, can’t wait

The Demon engine is working to a year end hopeful completion date. The Beaufighter is currently in slumber.

Thank goodness I’m moving back to the Northern Hemisphere next year, now there’s something to look forward to seeing!

The Beaufighter remains and other sundry aeroplanes were visible on TV last week in the background of a prog about De Vinci’s aeronautical doodles, during which a recreation ‘hang-glider’ was constructed in Skysport’s premises, Hatch, Bedfordshire.

The availability of servicable Kestrel engines is going to be a problem for the future. Appreciate to the fullest any massed gatherings of Hawker biplanes!
