I took this picture at EMA a few evenings back.
G-BVJB
Can anyone provide any more info regarding the airline? I can’t seem to find anything definitive.
Cheers, Dazza

Dazza,
JB is currently going through its handback check, as it is currently leased to bmi. Going on past experience, it will probably retain its UK reg until it is transferred to the new operator.

The reg was originally black characters sprayed/applied directly on to the engine cowling, it only appeared as white characters on the black background after re-emerging from one of the BMI maintenance hangars, not sure what the relevance of that is, but there you go! 🙂

The new registration has probably already been painted underneath the sticker. I suppose that adding a black sticker over it would make it harder for the new livery to be seen.

The registration is temporary, it’s just a sticker as you can see. When it arrives in Australia the sticker has to be torn of and the Australian registration will be visible. This is not sure, could also be painted there. They prefer a sticker because you can’t take off paint easily.

Thanks for that, what about the British registration though, or is it just temporary while its in the U.K.?
