Thought this band were the best Glam Rock outfit of the 70s and 80s
its doubtful they would reform as Noddy Holder isnt interested, great shame as they would certainly knock spots of most present day ensembles

Dave Hill and Don Powell are still doing the rounds as Slade.
Very much doubt Noddy Holder and Jimmy Lee would want to join again as they both seem very happy doing wot they doez.
Last time I saw them would be some time in the 80s when they played The Odeon in Edinburgh and before that, Castle Donnington.
Would pay the money to go and see them if the origonal 4 were to tour again.
A very good rock band totaly underated.

Somehow Slade always seem to stay very underated by many. I was not old enough to have seen them live, but feel they had something really special.
Not sure Noddy Holder would ever agree to rejoin them(the rest still tour from time to time).
Probably best to enjoy the back catologue rather than hope for a final tour really, But if they do I am there.

repcobrab “Thought this band were the best Glam Rock outfit of the 70s and 80s “
They were and that’s where they belong. They were of their time aand place and reforming like so many others would only fulfill a third of that.Memories should sometimes stay as just that.
Now if i had a time machine!;)

Well, I don’t normally comment in this part of the forum but…
Sometimes, something warrants it.
I saw Slade when I was a boy-child about seventy years ago (well it feels about seventy years ago).
Drink was taken, and I can’t remember too much but I do remember that I went to work the next day partially deaf.
I do know that about half the people I went with are dead, and even the venue is now under ‘executive housing’.
Noddy must be be about 109 years old, so even if they did get back together, I think they might lack the impact they once had.
Anyway, for those who missed them the first time, here they are in action.
They were more rude than depicted here.

If you ignore that awful Christmas song they produced some pretty good stuff and didnt take themselves too seriously.
