As a long time collector of things merchandising for the ‘Battle of Britain film’, I was pleased a couple of weeks back to purchase yet another film poster from the US.
It is entitled ‘Slaget om England’.
May I ask please for any of our Scandinavian or German members to confirm the country of origin of this poster?
On a more general basis, for future reference, I would be pleased to know of any other non-English titles of the film from any country in which it was shown commercially at the time, 1969, or subsequently.

Just back from a place called Hondarribia on the Northen France/ Spain border. This was the location used for all the French port sequences – all the barges going past on the back of trucks, etc. Nice area and the local people i spoke to all remembered the filming taking place in the late 60’s – they called the film the Perpinon or something of that nature.
Not worth a specific trip but if your round the corner anyway……

I can remember watching it in Spain once, the English was dubbed into Spanish, the German was still German but with English subtitles.
Still knew every word they said 🙂

Incidentally, I have just obtained a picture of two Polish veteran aces: Stanislaw Skalski and Stefan Witorzenc, both of whom had flown and scored in the Battle. The photo was captioned on the back
Warsaw Airport before flying to London, 9 Sept. 1969
I wonder what was the cause of that trip…

It was these Scandinavian ones that were throwing me. All seemed to read the same but were sold and accredited to different countries.

It is Danish. In Norwegian it would be Manus or Manuskript. Same in Sweden I guess. Not that I care either… 😉 😀 Just kidding daniel-k!!!
