I came across this in my archive. Enough security, do you think? 🙂

‘I’m out!’
Can’t find any ‘sheltering under the wing of a ‘Ten’ pics – but we’ve all done it thanks to the British weather!

Sorry DragonRapide I forgot the smilely;) and no offence taken.
Anyway I’ll see Seafuryfan’s two Vigilant guards and raise it to six.

I’ll not have anyone knocking the VGS or their fleet of plastic aeroplanes.
Absolutely correct too!
No offence intended!
I’ve been out of the Corps for ten years, and am delighted to hear that cadets can now solo the Vigilant. It’s been 25 years since I soloed on a Venture, and I know I will never forget the joy of that experience. VGSs were wonderful places manned by great people when I was involved, and I’m sure the same will always be true!
I did get one trip in a Sedburgh, but none in the Mk 3. Great fun, but I know “plastic” brought many benefits.
Keep up the good work Aeronut!

GragonRapide
and you could fly them solo!
At my VGS over 100 cadets went solo in the Vigilant last year, the days of ghosted solos because of engine unrealability are long gone.
Like me some instructors learnt on Sedburghs and the Mk3 bricks and stayed in the system, others came from the cadets we sent solo on the Vigilants. I’ll not have anyone knocking the VGS or their fleet of plastic aeroplanes.

Sitting down????
The cadets wouldn’t have been given chairs in my day!!!
Mind you, in my day the gliders weren’t plastic either – and you could fly them solo!
