In the early 1980’s one of these was listed as stored at this location. I don’t think its ever returned to the air – anyone have any clues to its fate?

Thanks ! I think there was only one ‘A’ amongst the lot so that helps put them in order!

Yes, It is for sale as a 2b. But an owner of a 2b at Lasham has contacted the seller and it is a 2A in Ireland.

Thanks for that! Can you confirm the Irish example being a 2A?

I believe the Kite 2 is BGA564 ex Rodi Morgan.

Indeed -she has been out of the air for a very long time ! A confirmation of the Chalfont machine’s identity would be much appreciated to try and tie the numbers built and survivors more acurately!

If its the one i’m thinking of the owner wants to restore it one day. Its not for sale. He has another one that he fly’s. There is a Kite 2a for sale in Ireland on glider pilot network at the moment.
