Small Diameter Bomb (SDB) related

Let me start off with this article

SDB flies its longest-range mission

A Boeing Small Diameter Bomb (SDB) has flown more than 88 km from a release altitude of 30,000 ft, landing within 86 cm of its planned impact point on a target barge in the Gulf of Mexico. The trial was the longest SDB flight conducted so far. On average, SDB rounds land within 106 cm of their targeted impact point.

Conducted on 11 May 2005 near Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, the test was the first since the US Air Force’s (USAF’s) decision in April 2005 to begin low-rate initial production of 201 SDBs. For the second test on 26 May, a USAF F-15E released an SDB from an altitude of 28,600 ft and about 56 km from its planned impact point on a target board at the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico.

The test exposed the weapon to GPS jamming with the potential to degrade the weapon’s accuracy by disturbing its onboard guidance.

The anti-jam system on the SDB rejected the interference and the weapon maintained its intended glide path, hitting within 2 m of the target, giving the SDB a development test record of 23 successful flight tests out of 25 attempts.
