Hello,
Does anyone know of a small foundry that would be able to make cast parts? I want to melt down some aircraft spar to make cast models of the aircraft that the spar came from.
There are several large companies out there that will make you a gearbox, but I’m looking or more of a ‘local’ company.
Any help would be greatfully received.
Thanks

Try James Virgo in East London. He runs a small foundry – in fact he just cast up some blind flying panel mounts for me. http://www.jamesvirgoartwork.co.uk/
His prices are very reasonable and he is very reliable – you would be able to post patterns to him if you live a long way away. He also made my Whitley control wheel. I wouldn’t send my stuff anywhere else.

Have you tried the ones that do the likes of Bells, as they tend to do a lot of one offs, just a thought..
