Snibston Discovery Park

My Snibston membership renewal notice has just arrived and indicates that the Auster Aircraft display section has been expanded and now has two Austers on display.

One is the Leicestershire Museums AOP9 XP280 but I see from the http://www.fleetairarmarchive.net/aircraft/Preserved/Auster.htm that Auster J-4 G-AIJK was there (listing is dated 2000), is this the other one?

I heard it was going to be G-AGOH, previously at Newark.

Isn’t G-AIJK the one hanging up at the Charmwood Museum in Loughborough?

Edit to say according to the Leicester County Council Heritage Services website G-AGOH is still on display at Newark!

How many years ago did it leave??

G-AGOH left NAM in April 2007 – I’m pleased that it’s finally back on display! πŸ™‚

They also hold the unique Desford G-AGOS (ex Strathallan) . It would be nice to see that again.

( the link would not open for me, so if it mentioned the Desford, apologies !)
