A few photos from the weekend at Southend.
Starting with the Saturday – the previous evening the snow had caused havoc with snow at LCY -although the snow was relatively modest in Southend with a dusting to most places apart from, strangely the grass around the runway.
I caught on of the 8 aircraft to divert in the previous evening which stayed at Southend overnight departing to London City – a BA E190.

And making the most powerul departure of a jet from Southend I’ve ever seen – put a 757 to shame!

Another worthy movement was an Air Astana A320 on a test flight post maintenance and before being returned to the leasing company.

Now for some photos in ‘proper snow’ when it hit on Sunday. LCY was closed all day because of the snow – and almost all flights were cancelled. One visitor was a D328 operating for Sun Air on behalf of British Airways from Billund – but unfortunately an example leased from Sucking Airways. An all white aircraft on a very snowy day:

And to finish an easyJet A319 departing to Belfast….

Hope these are of interest.
