Isn’t it funny when England were playing Football in Europe nearly every other vehicle on the road were showing little flags in support of the England Team,BUT when GB are at the Olympics there is a distinct lack of little flags being shown in support of TEAM GB.(WHO SEEM TO BE DOING A DAMN SITE BETTER THAN THE FOOTBALLERS DO). WHERE ARE ALL THE SO CALLED PATRIOTIC SUPPORTERS NOW???

Good point, over here in Canada there were dozens of flags on cars during Euro 2004,with all of the ex-pats showing their heritage.Funny how the Portuguese came out of the woodwork, followed by the Greeks……
A fellow brit on my street had a St.George flag on his car then-distinct lack of Union Flag there now!!

I think you’ll find there aren’t any flags being paraded on cars due to all the stick everyone got for doing so.
Can’t wait to see what happens for the world cup

Maybe because football is far more popular here than the Olympics.
I am a patriot though, and I dont drive around with the St George’s cross sticking out of my window (I just have it on a flag pole at the front of the garden). That doesnt mean I am not patriotic though. I agree that there arent any (basically), but I think its because football is far more popular. Dont forget it may also be something to do with relations between the Welsh, Scots and English. Considering we dont get along all that well then maybe some people feel its best to support Britain but not be patriotic to Britain, be patriotic to your own country. (Dont forget, Britain isnt a country!)

Why hasn’t In-Ger-Land got a beach volleyball team. Answer me that!

Is it perhaps because we send a Great Britain team to the Olympics and so the “Eng-Er-Land” neanderthals don’t realise who it is?
Hehehe, i think you hit the nail on the head

I agree – we had that bloody football rammed down our throats on TV, now we get the Olympics. Where are the numbskulls parading around with their coloured hair in their Olympic shirts, where are the pubs advertising the chance to book to see the 100m finals, where are the drunks chanting “Team GB” down the high street looking to beat up unwary foreigners should their team actually have the nerve to beat us in the weightlifting?
If I were you I wouldn’t start a campaign to have the Snickers name returned to Marathon just yet….
