PM. departed Doncaster at 5 PM, arrived East Mids, turned over Kegworth, did a low pass down the runway from motorway end, waggled his wings about DHL apron area, then slow climb before resuming southerly track, ahhhh the advantages of peeps in ATC letting ya know :p
Didn’t have my camera with me, but will have on Tuesday 12th for the last flight of the Grimrod arriving about 10-10:30 am

To far for me and as I see aircraft all day, a bit of a busmans holiday, we did have the Vulcan do a low pass and wing waggle at East Mids at about 5:15 though……
AM or PM? I was there, inside though so had no idea about it

Went to Yeovilton instead, Duxford has become to commercialised. After Jerry Mead retired the commentary became diabolical & since that frenchmans been doing it it’s got even worse. My father went yesterday & said the Horsemen was the only thing worth watching & the rest of the flying was mundane & not attention grabbing. TFC might as well add the Vulcan as it’s display sounds perfect for Legends 😉

Taking my 3yr old camping and it’s a long day for a yound lad to be stuck at Legends from 9-5pm ( he gets bored).

Apparently a first and only, it was a genuinely fantastic moment and also reflects well on the show organisers and the aircraft operators that they could come up with and arrange this at the last minute. I’m sure some people had tears in their eyes!

Glad you got there in the end James. The Vulcan and Vixen formation must have been quite a sight, and maybe a first?!

Went to Yeovilton Air Day yesterday which as an event interests me far more than Legends, probably only time that I will see the Vulcan and Sea Vixen in formation aswel!
Skintyness plays its part, as I can only afford to go to to one show a year.
Also I have to go into work later today (Sunday opening unique for St Athan) as Team Viper Hunters are due in later.
