HP Whitley? Can we trust the answers?
I’d have got 13, one pass, and one totally, miserably and wildly wrong.

I didn’t think the questions were at all hard and most students of Bomber Command would have had little difficulty in coping with them. I passed on one which I think is reasonable given that I’d have done some basic revision if I were going to be on the programme.
That said, I’d probably have scored two in the General Knowledge questions. I’m an embarrassment to be with, even in a pub quiz!

The chap’s name was Karl Taylor , an analyist by proffession . He was the third contestant and from my notes he answered 15 questions and scored 13 points with no passes so two wrong . In the second general knowledge round he scored 14 points for a total of 27 . Probably normally a good enough score to win but the fourth contestant answering questions on freshwater fish won with a total score of 33 points .
Some of Karl’s questions included the operational name for the Dresden raid ? , first BC raid of the war ? , BC CiC at start of war ? , a VC winner ? (Bill Reid) , first aircraft to bomb Italy ? , the French prison raid ? , name of aluminium strips ? , codename for leaflet dropping ? Sorry can’t remember all of the rest but the programme may be available on the BBC iPlayer ?
I thought he did very well .

That might be a fun topic here, what aviation topic would you offer on the show?

For those of us outsider the UK, please let us know how he does.
Watching the series, I always wondered how an aviation history fan would do and what his/her topic might be.
