Some "GA" museum pics

As the aviation musea often “forget” the GA, I was happy to see that in the new Aviodrome in Lelystad didn’t make that mistake. Some pics. BW Roger

I beleive it played a pre war Lufthansa airliner if a film some time ago hence the false D- markings.
Looking forward to visiting the Aviodrome in the summer.

The “L-H” on the tail would support your theory.

Before the war and for a while After, all lufthansa aicraft merely had L-H on their tails. Until they started painting the famous Crane logo on the tails instead.

Thanks Roger! The D-A… series is for “heavies”; a Norseman would have been in the D-F… range.

Hi Kenneth,

After WW2 it wore an I , EC, CN and F registration. It ended up in the “woods” of La ferte Alais. After many years of outdoor storage, it was obtained by the Noorduyn Foundation in Holland, and brought to Holland last month.

It is/was the F-AZBN, the German registration is made out of black ducktape over the French registration. Don’t know why.

Very interesting pics! Nice to see that Norseman; looks as if it has had a chequered history – would you happen to know more about it?
