I almost hate to post this, as I must admit I’ve gotten rather sick of J-10 debates and topics, but the recent LCA vs. J-10 thread got me curious about what exactly the stores this new plane can or does carry?
Crobato, I was hoping you or plawolf or someone that has a fair amount of knowledge on the PLAAF could help me out in this respect.
I was wondering what type of gun the J-10 has? How many rounds, etc.?
Also, how many external pylons and where all the stations are located.
In addition, I was curious if the J-10 has been given a name….by NATO or anyone else. Models like J-10A or J-10B been specified yet? I know that the Chinese don’t designate like the United States does, but I’m just trying to give an example of what I mean by different models.
Most importantly I was wondering if you guys knew what the maximum warload of the J-10 is (preferably what each pylon’s max rating is), and what stores can be carried on each pylon. i.e. how many PL-11’s can/will it carry? What about PL-9’s? etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
