Went up to Oban on Saturday, nice weather over at Oban but on the way back to Glasgow, the clouds started getting a bit low….
1.Female pilot coming into Rwy 19 from Ireland.
2.Glider backtracking.
3.View from Taxiway over to the west.
4.My Tomahawk for the day.
5.Avioding some clouds.
6.Inverkip Power station.
7.Outdoor pool in Greenock.

She actually floated halfway down the runway then ballooned and I remember some comment like “will you have enough fuel to backtrack all the way along the runway” :p
Not to say I’ve never done that as well 🙂

Good heavens. That’s quite remarkable. I never realised that women were smart enough to fly.
I wonder how she managed to find time away from the housework!
Seriously though. Thanks for the pics. Last time I was in Oban was 1981, when I had walked there from half way down Loch Shiel and pitched tent outside a pub. Flying is definitely preferable – as soon as the housework is done, of course!

very interesting, I’ll get there someday. I’ve heard it’s compulsory to carry jammy dodgers when flying to Oban. 🙂
Weather round Cumbernauld was fine on Sat morning, but cloud came over at 2500, but a nice day for flying.
