Good pics!

The Dominican Republic is rapidly becoming a top-notch country fo aviation. 4 airports now have frequent charter flights flying into them from the UK in particular – Santo Domingo (the capital, south of the country), Puerto Plata (north of the country, nice, quite big airport), La Romana (south east-ish but very small, capable of holding about three large aircraft at a time) and then Punta Cana (don’t know much about this one). I’ve been to three of the airports and much of the time they have been crowded with a variety of holiday airlines from all over the globe.

Basel is probably the only airport in the world to have two three letter identifiers. If you are planning to go out on the Frence side the identifier is MHL but if you are planning to go out on the Swiss side the identifier BSL! Kind of confusing

Bloody hell , you’re correct , it was Habsheim ….

sorry for the confusion.

The good old Crossair colours made an appearance then, as Saab 2000 HB-IZW landed. I’m not quite sure where it was coming from, it was either Bruxelles or Vienna, I didn’t note down which of the two Saab’s that landed about the same time was which.
