dark light

some pics from East Fortune display

What a day. Started off very showery, but dried up before the display. Cloud levels moved upwards as the day wore on. A very full programme, with only the Grob Tutor missing.

Most bizarre moment was the Sea Vixen running in and using the wrong runway as the display line for the first and second pass! quickly corrected.

Didn’t take many photos, but here are a few.

Nice to see those photos. Thanks guys. I didnt make it either. Did see some of the departures out of Edinburgh from my house, and believe it or not, some of the Reds display-from 45 miles away!!

Wish I had that view as well! Thanks for the pictures – great show from the BBMF as always. Unfortunately I’m still in the dark ages and are away for developing.

Good to meet you again Ken, unfortunately the combination of Ken Ellis over the tannoy and the Nimrod made conversation rather difficult.

Need to see about another Scottish forum meet sometime.

East Fortune was a v. good museum when I saw it a few years ago…

Re the Concorde photo, I used to chop the wings off my paper planes to make ’em go better. Didnae work on them either…

No problem, Ren Frew, Ken showed me what Scottish hospitality is all about! One result was the Twin Pin pic above, I have plenty more from East Fortune, an excellent small Museum. Thanks to everyone again for all the help received throughout the UK by a bewildered honorary Swede!

Really nice pix, Ken!
Many thanks for the Patterson treatment, I really appreciated your efforts and enjoyed my day and your excellent hospitality. Here’s your favourite in the East Fortune “static”.

PL: ‘aaah Twin Pin’ the only Scottish designed and built aircraft in the collection.
Sorry it was only the 7/8 Paterson, but was good to meet you, excellent company.

Ren: yes, the Concorde does dress to the right somewhat!

Although I’ve had some good service and a few decent photos out of the Nikon 5700, I got so fed up with it wanting to re-focus just as I tried to get a shot, I went out and bought a D70 yesterday. Just have to get a decent tele-zoom and read the manual. I’ll never be as good as some of the guys on here, but, with their inspiration, watch this space… 🙂

Hi guys.

just my little contribution. Not very good but well at least I tried.

Photos have been reduced to 500 pixels wide for slower computers like mine.

enjoy. More to follow.
