Just a couple of pics of my Air Force now that they are back on display. Decorating is a pain for so many reasons!

Peter, use a BIG bushy paint brush to dust them (1″) – you can get really soft ones, and they won’t rip off pitot tubes and the like..

Nice collection Peter.I like mostly the Phantom.

Nice collection Peter.
And almost 10,000 posts on the forum …. holy cow;)

That’s a very cool collection Peter. Thanks for sharing it with us.
As far as keeping small hands and dust off of them, you could always get a nice curio cabinet with a lock on it.

No fetish Paul.. just that they came with tanks so…..

Nice collection Peter! I have not seen this thread before. Another true modeller who uses a “hairy stick” to good effect. BTW do you have a fettish for Lightnings with overwing tanks?:)

Jboyle,
I managed to find some spare stars and bars of the same size in my spares folder so I have replaced the incorrect ones on the fuselage with coreect ones right side up this time. I also added nose covers for the missiles I scratch built.

surely you must have some new ones to add by now Peter?! 😀
By: Peter - 23rd November 2011 at 15:34
Blackknight, i collected them mostly as gifts to me at Christmas etc early on and then I started collecting themes as ww2 jet age etc

Thanks Jboyle, your not the first to point that out and seeing as I dont have replacements I will leave it as is for now.

Nice Phantom…looks like NY ANG colors from the late 70s.
If I might be allowed to point out something…just so you know for next time.
The “star & bar” insignia on the fuselage is upside down, point goes to the top…
The one on the top left wing is correct, point goes towards the leading edge.
Don’t worry, a lot of non-U.S. modelers make that mistake. 🙂

Nice models – did you collect/build them with any particular theme in mind, or was it a case of “hmm, like the look of that one…”? (if you don’t mind my asking, that is)

F4’s looking good! I may have to pilfer your vulcan- it’ll look so much better in my collection you know! And the stirling. And He111. And the Lightnings… 😀

Thanks Canberra! except I was informed that the decals on the fuselage are upside down! Been built over 10 years now so they can remain as is
