Woensdrecht is a Dutch military base roughly half way between Rotterdam and Antwerp. However, not only the military uses this airfield. Fokker also has a large presence here. The largest Fokker maintenance fascility in the world can be found at this airfield.
Alongside this fascility is also a large storage area for Fokkers that are no longer used, or are undergoing maintenance at said fascility. Regrettably, the views are poor. A large concrete wall has been erected that blocks most views. However, as can be expected this airfield does get a fair amount of exotic visitors. When you happen to be in the area, visiting the airfield for twenty minutes is a good idea.
F27 – Lina Congo – TN-ABZ.
This plane has been stored here since 1996. At every visit some more bits and pieces seem to be missing. It is probably just a matter of time before it is scrapped.
F100 – Ivory Coast government – TU-VAA.
Placed here for maintenance at the Fokker works.
F100 – Ford Motor Company – C-GKZL.
Formerly with Jetsgo, now this plane will become part of Ford’s bizjet fleet. It will join a F70 that Ford bought new.
Line-up of F100s.
A line-up of F100s. The first one is TU-VAA from the government of Ivory Coast. Behind that are two F100s of defunct airlines. EI-DFZ from EUjet and C-GKZV of Jetsgo.
F27 – Aviodrome museum – PH-FHF.
The first production F27 has been bought by the Aviodrome from Aircruising Australia. It has recently received this livery from the Nederlandse Luchtvaart Maatschappij. This airline would later be merged with Netherlines to form NLM Cityhopper. Nowadays it is named KLM Cityhopper.
