Well, someone doesn’t have to worry about rising fuel prices. Let’s hope (no, let’s pray) he or she or they are an aviation heritage enthusiast/s. Imagine what you could do with that kind of dosh…?
I’m not going to make a list. What’s the point…?

The couple, bless ’em, are in need of some good living…..they look like they dine on Chips, deep fried Pizzas and other such Scottish favourites.
Good luck to them, they are now the 430th richest people in the UK.

I would buy one of you your own Spitfire……………… 😀
There must be an old British Leyland dog languishing in a scrapyard somewhere… :p
Seriously, I think I would take a wander down to Headly Court and drop a cheque for £10,000,000 in their collection jobbie on the counter
unrestored ones are becoming rarer on the ground , can still be found but prices are steadily climbing !!
By: tornado64 - 14th July 2011 at 10:22
most i’ve ever had was £5,000.00 having said that it was my own with no borrowing involved !!
i’ve always been happy not having a lot , my figguring is i’m not the most handsome chap , and in the event for some strange reason i should want to settle down it is a fair chance a woman would be there for the right reason
if i did win that much i would be sterrelised and have a whole chain making sure they were ditched a month before any legal entitlement ( they certainly wouldn’t be living with me !! )
but other far larger problems rear thier head with that amount of cash begging letters for cash , sometimes terrorist organisations are not as polite , always worrying who is outside the house , worrying about family members incase of kidnap and the whole list of other problems being exceptionaly rich brings
give me being skint anyday !! that’s why i don’t do the lottery
well that and the reality that it is a quid extra towards restoring my bike !!

Money doesn’t buy happiness…. But you can sail right up next to it in a REALLY big yacht…
By: ZRX61 - 13th July 2011 at 23:42
I wonder how many of those who win these vast sums of money ruin their lives, one way or another……
In the US, 1/3rd toss it all away in 5 years…. Just saw a case where a guy who won $18M after taxes lost his home because he didn’t keep up the mortgage payments on a $2M home… WTF? why would you even have a mortgage?? Just pay cash…

I’ll have both!!:diablo: But I suppose some would argue that money can help you towards good or better health.
By: Moggy C - 13th July 2011 at 15:38
Amen to that.

I guess that for some their life post-win is awful.
Tell you what Moggs, they can have the whole lot for all I care, give me good health over money any day, 😉

In response to your third paragraph – yes, exactly.
By: Lincoln 7 - 13th July 2011 at 10:27
Moggs, I agree with what you say, apart from what you said about the Banks, I don’t think after the recent Bank bailouts I could trust any of them, that in it’self would cause me stress.

I wonder how many of those who win these vast sums of money ruin their lives, one way or another…..
I wonder how many donate large sums to charities and causes they support….
I guess that for some their life post-win is awful. But that doesn’t say that if they hadn’t won their life would have been any better, just a different kind of awful.
I understand many winners just settle for relatively modest upgrading of their home and a quiet life of well-funded retirement.
If I won such an insane amount of money, and bearing in mind at my age it would be quite difficult to spend it all on ‘things’ however hard I tried, I would get the greatest pleasure from using it for small acts of kindness.
We’ve all seen the press stories of pensioners robbed of their £7,000 life savings which they kept under the bed. How good would it feel to send them £14,000 and a financial advisor who’d teach them about bank accounts?

SkyHigh. When I won my £3.000.000, for some strange reason, it turned me into an inveterate liar 😀

We all know what we would dlo with it, but it would be intersting to find out the reality of how big winners’ lives been affected.
