First ones are from PIK today, take off was more like a blast off complete with mini earthquake and the sound of car alarms going off as it passed BAE, marvellous 😀

Not my best photo by a long shot, but hopefully you like it. This was shot at this year’s Farnborough Air Show. First and so far only time I’ve seen it fly. Have seen it before at Duxford and also in the static at Farnborough ’04.
Snap….sort of(yours is better obviously 😉 )

In my eyes – one of the greats still flying today. Right up there with the tristar!
Nice shots all!
For those that are interested – Gemini jets are to hopefully soon be releasing a 1/250th scale BA VC-10 and next year Corgi are releasing 2 showcase models – one RAF blue/white/red livery and one in BOAC livery.
Here’s a couple from EDI –

I have been on the vc10 loads of times as when i was 3 my dad got posted to R.A.F Decimumanu in Sardinia we used to fly R.A.F Brize Norton – R.A.F Bruggen – R.A.F Decimumanu it was scary flying backwards especcially on take off was strange when i first fledw forwards to jersey in 2001. but was fun v.comfortable for a 6hour Flight as we had to fly to Bruggen in Germany for fuel and new passengers. was a great aircraft to fly on and looks beautiful today. My dad is now out of airforce but now works for Marshall Aerospace Looking after the Boeing C-17 Globemaster III at Brize Norton.

Matt keep an eye out for them for them at GLA – they occassionally pass thru – usually parking on stand 6 side on – right opposite your hanger.
