Last month, i ordered a music CD from Amazon. it was an old realease and one that was hard to source for Amazon, explaining why it turned up today, quite a while after i ordered it.
Looking forward to hearing some ‘”BBC Music the bothy band, live in concert” (Irish dance music), i put the CD into my PC.
what do i get? music? ha. no.
You know when you go to a hotel and on one of the channels on the TV is a promotional video that is forever repeated, telling you about the hotel, its facilities, etc etc. yeah?
well, hard to believe, but that is what i have on my CD. A promotional video for a Holiday Inn Express, London Wimbledon South. the CD artwork and the case are, as far as the CD artwork and case are concerned, ‘the bothy band’.
i dont know what to do. keep it for sheer comedy value, or send it back?
anyone been to the hotel? lol

I can beat this (I think). I ordered a copy of Strike Fighters, a PC flight sim/game, and what should arrive (on a disc marked Strike Fighters, in the correct DVD case)?
…”Remembering Fred Dibnah” on DVD.
Nothing against the memory of Britain’s favourite television steeplejack, but I had to admit to a certain amount of disappointment and confusion over that one.

You have to wonder whether the Bothy Band is wafting around the lobby of the Holiday Inn Express though ? 😀
