Something Strange hanging under a Lancaster's Wing

Going through some of my picture’s, saved up for future quiz’s 😉 .

I came across this among them 😮 , I don’t remember where it came from now 😮 , and I had forgotten it was even there.

Any comment’s most welcome 🙂 .

Correct! RCAF had 2 lancasters serial KB848 and KB851 that carried Ryan Firebee drones. Sadly both were scrapped at the end of their with only the nose section of KB848 remaining on view at the National Aviation Museum in Ottawa.

Something Unusual mounted ona firebee

Jetstream man,

I think you’re right, now why would they mount something so unusual and so large on top of one…. ?

 Surely a Firebee can never lift something that big?
