Now that the new Sony Alpha 230/380’s are in the shops, I’ve noticed that the price of the A200 & A350 that they replaced are starting to drop.
There is not that much difference between the 350 & 380 if any, so I’m happy sticking with my 350.

I have a sony a200 and love it. Its a great entry DSLR. You can use it as a point and shoot camara, even the wife can use it!
I use mine with a sony 75/300 mm lens and get some great shots with it!
It has lots of setting to play with and Id recomend the Magic Lantern Guide (from e-bay or amazon etc) as a good guide

And Sony include the anti-shake system in the body, rather than the lenses, so you don’t need to spend fortunes on every single lens, even standard new Minolta/Sony fit lenses can be had at a relatively reasonable price.
Now, that kind of comment is likely to bring out the purists, who argue that IS (image stability) works better in the lens (which is no doubt true) but if, like me, you’re on a limited budget anti-shake in the body is a better compromise than no anti-shake at all, or needlessly increasing the amount of debt you put yourself in.
I’m also looking at Sony DSLRs for next year, have been quite impressed with some of the results I’ve seen.

I have one, its probably one of the best entry level camera thats capable of some very good shots, you have access to a host of older lenses (thanks to Minolta) which are more often than not of a good quality, the only thing I dont like about it is it gets very noisy above 400iso.
