No it’s not a Matchless.If I’m not mistaken it is a Phelon and Moore 3.5hp.The company later built the Panther slopers.

Very nice, I have commented here and elsewhere.
Tell me about the motorcycle–Is it a Matchless?
The bike of choice for Great War despatch riders was the 550cc ‘Trusty Triumph’, and the lady despatch rider is very authentic, although many RFC/RAF machines were fitted with a sidecar.
The Collection has a slightly later 550cc Triumoph from 1923, and all I can say is that those girls must have had very taught thigh muscles–because it kicks like a mule if you get things wrong..!
When are next over Bedfordshire way??
