Just got back from a couple of weeks away.

Regarding Trolley Aux, as I recall he’s on his third username. The original misspelled one from the old forum almost certainly did have PM facilities, the two new ones haven’t made enough posts.

You would think he’d take the hint….get the point.

I am back at it deleting his posts. If any of you can PM him let me know as I dont have that ability anymore… I miss having the ability to ban people on the forum and sadly, that will never be coming back….

I see that he’s been banned from the www.secretprojects.co.uk forum.

I dont think I have ever needed to PM anyone so probably why I didnt realise that I could not

Not sure how many posts my old account had, I never think to look

It might go by calendar from join date rather than the post count as you and Hypersonic are both at 114 but  you cant be messaged from what I can see?

I can PM everybody who has posted on this thread except FKA Trolley Aux.

Anybody who has joined since the forum meltdown has to have made a ridiculous number of posts before PMs are enabled. I did manage to work out a rough ballpark figure for it once, which I can’t remember now, but it’s several, if not many, hundreds.

I’m away for nearly two weeks from tomorrow morning so I’ll see if anything’s changed when I return.

I won’t hold my breath…

Over on the Modern Military section, he seem very happy updating 7 year old posts from 20 year old books  (in the case of a thread about the WWII “America bomber”.) 🙂

The rest of his information seems to be from old magazines.

I doubt if anyone is seeing what he does.

He seems to be unaware of that.

Trolley Aux has been around for many years Most likely it was reset when the forum was??

I believe Trolley Aux has been a member on here for many years but maybe the forum problems a while ago made it reset.

I joined just short of 5 years ago. As a result, have no experience of the “previous system”.

To think that Key Pubs, the facilitator of the forum, appear to have no / little control of it seems to me to be a little worrying. If I have understood previous comments on the matter!!

I have been / am a member of a number of forums – all have the rule of no cutting and pasting links into historic posts. With the ultimate sanction of removal, from the forum.

When I joined, I’m certain that I was given the option of private message opt in / out. As we can see Vahe.D is uncontactable. Trolley Aux, who joined 8 months ago, is also uncontactable. Can somebody please confirm – I am contactable. If Trolley Aux could confirm the “option” is correct I would appreciate it. I may be confusing this forum with another, in that regard.

I believe he is bringing up the old posts, to add to them, and then not revisiting them so anything we post afterwards is unseen by him. As a further point the Modern Military Aviation area is littered with his activity.

I believe his behaviour needs escalating to HQ, at a very senior level, for their view on the matter. Although, my comment in Para 2 above may mean that a solution is not forthcoming there either.

It seems that we did that first off, then he was asked nicely to stop. Then we tried to engage. None of it seems to have any effect, and his postings clearly don’t expect a reply. So it’s difficult to know what to do. The forum seemed to be kicking into life, but without some kind of moderation I guess we’ll be subject to this kind of thing.

Maybe if we ignore him he’ll stop…

When i first saw it i thought he had added a number to his name but when you look it is back to how it was .
