Wonder what the story is behind this Lanc on a USAAF station

the tyres seem flat and the prop on the starboard outer prop looks to be feathered

The B17g ‘Bit-o-lace’ I think was/is the Airfix one.

What a superb video … I mean the Lanc’s mildly interesting … the amazing colour footage of the B17s with radar and yellow markings, the Malcolm Hood P51 (B or C?), and the Razorback P47. Just brilliant. D
You failed to mention the starboard outer pr………………….:D

What a wonderful video. The lanc itself is of some passing interest but the colourfully marked B-17, blown hood Mustang and the early ish P47 makes the film all the more worth watching.

It is a 100 Squadron Lancaster LM672 coded HW:V diverted to Rattlesden on 18 Nov.1944 after attacking Wanne-Eickel. F/O Fludder diverted after bad weather at Waltham. This aircraft survived the war going to 5 MU May 45.
