thx Mpacha, I can work with that. I half-ways figured it had something to do with Langebaanweg, but couldn’t find it on either the official nor unofficial SAAF websites (the unofficial has a great number of the Sqn emblems represented)

Sorry, I’ve only just seen this. The badge is of the Flying Training School, AFB Langebaanweg which was then the home of the Silver Falcons. Later becoming 83 Jet Flying School. The photograph was taken during the late 1970’s by Herman Potgieter.

I have found one old colour image of a SAAF Impala wearing this emblem – the shield is a blue field – I’m hoping someone can identify and/or show a sharper/cleaner version.
