Spent 22 years working on these.
Sad to see another aircraft come out of service.

Anon, unfortunately the starboard wing, engines/ props, U/C etc are just to large and cumbersome to store; also the chances of us building a bigger hangar in the near future are very slim to to the restrictions and size of the land we are on.
We spent this morning cleaning up and working out our next step.
The AWM are definitely getting one (659 I think), HARS 753 and RAAFM 751.

I think HARS have one, which will be kept airworthy.

Most of the fleet is being scrapped with 1 sent to point cook, 1 to SAAM, 1 as a gate guard at Edinburgh and possibly 1 to the AWM. There has been a few which have been scrapped already.

A very attractive and modern-looking aircraft – despite it being 40-odd years old. Is the rest of the fleet being scrapped?

Will you keep the unfitted stbd wing in storage, jeep1943, or will it be chopped?

Anon.

Eventually, 756 will be moved to the left and the port wing, rear fuselage, engines and props will be fitted. The vertical stab will require modification of the hangar in the distant future.
Why no starboard wing?- we simply do not have the room or space to store it.
756 will require some TLC as it has been used as a ‘Parts’ airframe for the past two years.
