South East Asian Armed Forces – update.

One IAF Bell 205 went down near the border -near East Timour.IAF said that technical support -most likely reasons.Fortunately all 4 crew members survived the crash after the pilots managed to forced the helo for a hard landing.

6 members of the IAF elite Kopaskau(sort of air force commandos)were killed during an ambushed in the Maluku province.An unknown group had attacked the party -and managed to get away with 6 FNC rifles.

There’s a strong debate among the Indonesian govt official -about the islamic group popularity which slowly undermined the armed forces (ABRI is vital -and always had gained the people respect).Certain quarters are worried -this trend could lead into something which is not very healthy for the region.The military seems to have lost their claws after all of these years.Very dangerous situation for such a fragile nation.

SINGAPORE.
