Yes, I guess it is like what I can see when I go to l”‘ile Longue” (French SSBN base).
You can’t even get close.
But there are highly sensitive deterrence assets there.
Maybe SKN has something to hide (WMD?).
Just kidding.
Thank you anyway.

If you can get close enough. Chin Hae, for example is closed structure with brick walls surrounding the compound and MP patrolling the surrounding areas that can overlook the harbor. Other places such as Dong Hae is much more open in terms of viewing. But as I’ve said, people who know don’t release such information; it’s against the law. The security law was loosened in the recent years, but few things still remain in place.

I can’t help with any of that sorry. I haven’t seen anything posted online. Those who know about the specifics won’t release the information publically for the sake of security.
I am not sure to understand.
I can walk around in SKorea and take pix of the boats in their base, can’t I?
Beside this, in democraties, the armed forces are at the service to the people (and the opposite in Ch.. uh, dictatures).
Well, I guess the NK problem is the root.
Thank you for your answer.

Kind of answer to the Oosumi class, with a similar role, but bigger?
KJL, I am trying to link each SKN ship to a base and to a squadron.
Could you please help me?
Seems I can’t find much online…

One hanger is located forward just ahead of the upper structure. It can house just 4 medium-sized helicopters and is connected to the aviation deck via an elevator. Behind the hanger is the vehicle deck.
Dokdo is somewhat lacking in terms of efficiency due to having the hanger and the vehicle deck on the same level. They are saying that the Dokdo class will be cut short at one ship and 2nd and 3rd ships of the LPX program will be enlarged and improved designs.

So there isen’t any aircraft hangar after all?

What is the projected Air Compliment for this vessel? Judging by it’s size, it would only have a couple of Blackhawks on it but has about five spots on deck for helo movements.
Even still, With these vessels and the Japanese Oosumi class (not to mention their new DDH’s), China will be watching with curious eyes as to the movements and capabilities of these vessels. The Region is heating up for a carrier war 😉
