South Korean F-4s

Does South Korea still use the F-4? I seriously don’t know anything about this air force despite the fact that if I go ahead with my novel, the R.o.K would play a major part in stemming China’s plans to dominate Asia (as would Taiwan, Japan, India maybe and possibly Australia who are all gonna feature).

So if anyone could fill me in on squadron levels, roles etc. I’d appreciate it.

Also, I know the F-15K is due to enter service fairly soon. My novel will have a 2008-10 dateline (it’s gonna be a big war spread over a series of novels). Will the “K” be in service in large enough numbers to feature in a big way and will the Phantom still be in use?

I know fanatics like PhantomII would love it to be in service for ever but the end has to come some time…sorry:p .
