T-6A Texan (1950~1961) (Geon-Guk-Gi)

Before Korean War, Korean Government can introduce T-6A Texan from canada. because U.S Government don’t want service a fighter aircraft in RoKAF.

First day of war. (1950.6.25) Some T-6 have a attack soties by hand-drag bombs.

One of T-6 crash by AAA. and Two aircraft crash in RoKAF before retired.

T-33 Shooting star (1956~1992) (Ssaek Ssaek i)

The first jet aircraft in RoKAF. At that time, RoKAF can introduce U.S retired F-86 sabre. But anyone hasn’t experience about Jet aircraft. This jet-trainer service for RoKAF at 1955 by USAF. The sabre was retired at 1990 unoffcially. But This aircraft was survive more two years.

T-28 Trojan (1960~1988)

retired of T-6 Texan. RoKAF introduce this aircraft from USAF. The first time of T-28. Some T-28 in RoKAF use this aircraft for attack mission. But introduce of F-5A / B. T-28 service for trainng mision.

T-37 Tweet (1972~2005)

The T-37 tweet is not known popularity. RokAF introduce from U.S and Brazil’s retired aircraft.

T-41 (1972~)

RoKAF basic trainer since 1972.

T-59 Hawk (1992~)

The T-59 hawk is not only trainer in RoKAF. In emergency. Hawk service for observation and attack mission. Not Known. Another name of Hawk in RoKAF is O/A-59.

T-38 Talon (1996~)

The Korean government select that development jet-trainer(KTX-2. It known T-50 Golden Eagle). RoKAF lented from U.S. at first. T-38 service only 10 years. But delay of T-50’s production is make T-38 service three years add. T-38 will service at 2008 and return to American Arizona’s desert to relax forever 🙂

KT-1 Woong-Bee (1999~)

The First Korean made military-training aircraft offcially. KT-1 development for trainier and low-speed observationer in RoKAF. at first. Korean government think license of PC-9. But PC-9’s company. The Swiss laws make that can’t give information of PC-9 if South Korean use ‘low-speed observation mission’. development of KT-1 start from nothing. After 11 years. First of KT-1 product by KAI.

T-50 Golden Eagle (2006~)

The T-50 Golden Eagle. As known. RoKAF start T-50’s service april of this year.

T-103 (2005~)

This basic trainer was introduced by ‘Red Bear Project’. The Red Bear Project is introduce a weapon from russia because russian get out of debt to south Korea. The T-103 will substitution T-41.
