im going to southampton airport 2morow i leave swindon at 5am for my 8:10am flybe flight to jersey and i would like to know what it it like once you pass security i only know wht it is like befor security when my mum traveled to jersey last year bear in mind i will be there at 7am so would anything be open and if it is what is there??

Yeh check in is very quick, shops – no choice lol however the spotters area upstairs in the main terminal is a great place to wait for a bit 😀 Great views of the aircraft and runway 🙂

Indeed, its a very very small airside area there with just the one shop. The advantage of SOU is that minimum check in time is quite low, so you don’t have to have too much time hanging around. 15 minutes with BA 😀

I imagine the shops would be open at that time, because their are normally alot of flights leaving at that time in a morning. I know when Ive been on the 6:30AM Britannia flight to CFU from LBA the shops have opened about 5-5:30.
