Well I went to Southend today ! Too much sun (nice to be able to say that) but in the wrong place all day !!!!! Was amazed at the number of people, very difficult to move around ?? Was so nice to hear people applaud and cheer at some of the manouvers !! Not the best photos but gives you the image of the days events. Keith.

SUNday was blistering zis was over 18miles 😮 you could see the Thames Forts and wind farm on the Kentish Flats from the casino it was that clear.
Today well the apocalyptic weather that “was” forcast never happened and whilst the weather was not as goos as yesterday it was still nice for a good part of the day the clag only really closed in in the last hour or so of the display, the Hawk, Vampire, gants & Typhoon all done flat shows but they still displayed the only cancellation was the RAF Falcons as the wind was picking up, the rain started to fall and there were a few lighinting bolts over the Kent coast.
Over all a superb show please Southend Council try and get the funding for another one next year.

Yes some very nice shots Keith- the azure blue sky certainly suits the (solo) Hawk colour scheme 😀

I went yesterday, and i have to say, the best southend airshow for years!!! Highlights for me were PT in Jumpin Jacques (Truely superb!!), BBMF and an absolutely awesome display by the reds.
And yes i do now look like lobster boy!!!!
Nice photos by the way. Realy struggled with mine due to the bright sunshine.

Nice set of photos there – I must admit to a hint of jealousy about the weather today – wishing I could have been at a show like this….
