Southend Piccies 29-5-05

Better late than never. 🙂

Enjoy. (All pics taken at the airport from sundays show)

I arrived for the show around 9:30am, and the first movement i saw at the airport was this Citation making its way to the runway for departure.

G-JETC of Ability Aviation/London Exec Aviation.

Next to taxi past me was this Yak 52, in a rather striking livery – G-YKCT.

Heres a few more of interest from the day anyhow – sorry not all are suitable for this forum, but i hope you enjoy them all the same.

And again

The huge merlin heli – ZJ127

And the herc seen here, looking rather menacing in this shot.

The same herc, just landed at high speed – sadly i moved ever so slightly when i took the shot. 😡

The Breitling team in their L-39’s overshoot the airport before landing for the show. The weather thus far hadn’t improved.

One of two Eurofighters at the show.

Lovely Socata TBM 700 of Sales Force Management, taxies out for departure before the show gets underway.

More in a little while – still editing a huge bulk of them.

Thanks Kaplan, they used the other tornado on the monday

No they didn’t – the 111 jet displayed both days. They always take a spare to shows incase there is a problem with the display jet. Whatever the problem was, it wasn’t too serious because the pair departed on the Sunday afternoon.

Anyway – nice pics mate! Some are very similar to mine! 😉

Thanks Kaplan, they used the other tornado on the monday, i think it had a slight problem on Sunday?

Some more pics anyhow…. 🙂

Side by side.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v300/AndyS1/G-SSXX.jpg
G-SSXX – Essex Air Ambulance.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v300/AndyS1/B-632L.jpg
Two of the 4 of these 146’s are still in storage at Southend… this example is B-632L. The other one (B-634L) has had two of the engines removed.

As well as the two Old Air China bae 146’s in store, N181US (Ex UA) was also in store.

And there are still loads of Bae ATPs in store too – around 10 at least, G-MANL being the latest to join the line up. This one is G-MANF close up.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v300/AndyS1/HZ-123.jpg
HZ-123 still in store, and since last year has gotten very dirty! Rumour has it that Qantas are going to snap this aircraft up, and use it for vintage flights etc.

G-BWIR overshooting the airport.

Again.

And once more landing at Southend.

More pics again very soon. 🙂

Great stuff, I wonder why the 111 Sqn F3 was displaying instead of the more usual 56 Sqn a/c?
