Hello again!
Now comes my third and last picture tread about my recent trip (early july) to Spain. A previous tread about the Spanish Airforce museum at Cuatro Vientos can be found here:

I shall post some of the pics I took while I visited the Fundatcion Infante de Orleans (FIO) which is a collection of flying vintage aircraft.
To start: an impression of the home of this collection:

Thanks TT. I knew you would like these pics.
Alex the Jungmann and TT the Miles Falcon. I’m shure I don’t need to say which plane I would like to have … 😉

Lovely pix as ever Stiggie – thanks for posting something unusual!
Alex – you can have the Jungmann, I’ll take the Miles Falcon, she’s gorgeous…prefer Hairyplanes’ scheme though….
Brill – thanks again

Chiz. Wrong AGAIN! Goes to boil head. 😀
Don’t worry JDK. This happens to me all the time. 😉
Thanks guys (Haireyplane,RogerS, …) for the additional info. It’s always nice to know a little bit more about such a rare bird.

Great to see the photographs of the Falcon 6. ‘Tis true that it is the only Falcon 6 extant. My Falcon, like the Australian machine VH-AAT, is a Falcon Major.

Nice photos and good to see different aeroplanes, really like the HA-200 and also the formation photos.

It is painted in its original Republican Air Force livery. It is without codes as the codes of the machine during the Spanish Civil War are unknown. I think they had 3 of those. as soon as it is known which codes it wore, they will be applied to the machne. It is the only flying Spanish Civil War veteran in the world. BW Roger

The period scheme does nothing for the beautiful lines of the aircraft.

Was that a factory scheme or something applied by a proud owner?

I would love to see and hear the 6 cylinder version – it has an impressive performance.

Thanks for sharing your great pix Stieglitz!
Really nice to see them in the air and taxi-ing too.
Minor pedant point, but the Falcon has a sister aircraft at Old Warden owned by our very own Hairyplane! They’re hardly two a penny, but not quite unique… The Spanish machine was (like just about everything else) used as a Bomber during the Spanish Civil War.
Cheers!

Yes, I should have brought my camera to photograph the scene! BW Roger

Oh no! I was afraid that you would mention our 2 hour sensor cleaning in Madrid. I’m so happy that there are no pictures from this wild event! 😀
Cheers!

To update on their Polikarpov, well it just passed Plymouth, so it is well underway. Which means Jochen that chanches are good for an October visit. By the way, looking at the pics I can only conclude that the 2 hours sensor cleaning that saturday night went well :diablo: BW Roger

Great pics – was unable to get to a FIO display as I was only there during the week – another reason to go back sometime though

Good to see some different pics! Some interesting aircraft – the Aisa 115 looks like it could make a practical private ‘warbird’. I’d never heard of it before, but a Google shows some 450 were built, so there may be a few about… 🙂

Marvellous pix, Jochen, must have been a great holiday, almost too much sun, perhaps!

yep, it’s probably an L-4, wonder if it has any relevant history behind..

It looks as though the light was very intense, it gives the pictures a quality somehow different to that which we see here in the UK. Interesting to see the Cub with a squared off rear window- reckon it may have been an L4 once upon a time.

superb collection and pics!! 🙂
Seems like the T-6 is undergoing the feared wing attach angles inspection..
That Saeta is a really nice subject, never seen one before! 🙂
Alex
P.S.
Ben, the Beech is a cutie, innit? 😉
P.P.S.
I want a Jungmann!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😀
