Spain to purchase 45 NH-90

Hi all

Today the spanish goverment has decided to purchase 45 NH-90 , as part of a big weapons procurement plan. It´s understood that these helicopters will be bought for the Navy and the Army air corps (FAMET). This is the first phase of a bigger purchase. These are shocking news for me as i wasn´t aware of the goverment´s intention to replace helicopters, and 45 is a big number.

Also, as part of this plan , short range missiles will be bought for the marines and the army (I think these will be some kind of antitank missiles), another AEGIS-equipped F-100 frigate will be built by the spanish naval builder NAVANTIA.

More ships are going to be built for the navy but i don´t know exactly what kind.
I´ve read “combat support ships” and “oceanic patrol ships”
