Spam alert

Here we go , welcome to the weekend ,another few pages of CRAP .

…and 14 pages of spam this night/morning in March 2022…. 

Fair enough by 09:50 UK time Monday morning the pages of garbage had all gone, a much swifter response this time so someone deserves thanks.  Problem does seem to lie in the registration process, yet if I attempt to register (as distinct from log-in), I’m immediately requested to enter my subscription reference.  Key do need to solve the issue – even if only to save someone on the staff a task each morning!

They’re backkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk … 16 PAGES of spam in less than a minute. So nice to know that Key.Aero is on the spammers “batchfile” setting

It’s still happening. On the Photographics Forum a person using the “among1” name has posted several different entries, all with the same wording, but including different links.

The words they use are “Interesting post. I was wondering about this, so thanks for posting. Pretty interesting post. It’s really nice and useful.”

Fortunately – for me – no-one offered odds and I’m pleased to say that last night seems to have passed without another invasion of the spam posters!

Does anyone want to offer odds on what will turn up here tomorrow night?

How long before somebody at Key spots it I wonder…

 Wow! 21 pages of whatever good luck to the tech who is trying to clear this crap up and thank you.

I can’t see this is all one person just tapping away it must be some sort of cyber attack with whatever intention in mind ?  If you notice variations of a similar four letter worded I.D.   But one of the id’s AGED followed by the time it was posted  6 hrs etc. etc. is very apt for this petty act….  

I can’t help wondering if these attacks are more sinister than just spam ? What about one of these so called internet bots ?  they only have one job gather info, putting out info much faster than any human can do ?

Is it possible whoever could be gathering of the forumites info in they’re personal files ?  for whatever reason  ?    What about just gathering email addresses for infecting them with just this type of crap or viruses pretending to be from fellow members ? 

Could it be picked up via the signing of a petition or posting another link with information on a thread ?   A member using what for all intense purposes is an infected legitimate link ?  with only one click it is downloaded on to the forum without intention ?………..

No wonder the site is easy picking for the spam idiots. All that is required to join the site Is to register but email address confirmation not required. 
 

60+ pages now.

On the funny side, seeing as the forum has almost nil participation, someone is wasting their time here (or at least their bandwidth) posting all this spam.

and I give up after removing 6.. noone else gives a shit anymore so why should I I guess…
