Spares for spade grips?

Having reviewed the spade grip collection recently, I realise that a few are missing vital components such as the brake parking catch, roller and peg, etc.

I’ve seen replica castings at aerojumbles as recently as last year but I cannot recall seeing the other bits and pieces.

Is there a source of such things? I would prefer originals but am not averse to good quality replicas.

Any leads gratefully received.

Thanks! 🙂

Hello Alan

I take it this is the sort of thing your`e looking for?
While it is not made from one oiece of metal as per the originals they do come out pretty well?
PM me as i`m looking for a couple of bits as well.

Just bumping this up in case anyone missed it first time around.

Leads on spares would be gratefully received.

Tony, yes the mild steel parking catches look reasonably straightforward to fabricate and I’m surprised no-one seems to have done it yet. As for scavenging the spares shelf, well that’s the problem in having built a collection from scrapyards – mild steel and our weather don’t go together too well!

cant you just strip down some of your spares for spares?!
tee hee.

I am planning to make some catches as they look easy (the mild steel folded ones that is)
