To me Speke and its 1930s architecture is Liverpool airport not that johny come lately modern airport the other side of Speke hall. The old airport buildings have new uses but have been simpathetically adapted with the main building being a hotel that encourages the sight of old aircarft on the apron. There is some serious heavy metal restoration work going on and just to see the Britannia’s tailplane with a span larger than some aircraft I’ve flown makes you realise just how heavy the job ahead is.

The Jetstream is set up as a flight sim and I was impressed with its set up but less so with the designers who came up with a cockpit I couldn’t get into.
